PENSIONERS HILL LOOKOUT

Public BBQ

A lookout above Gunnedah with stunning views over the township and the country beyond, free and easy to get to. The sculptures scattered through the park are the surprise - worth walking around to see both sides of each - and good storyboards set out the history of the place. There is a playground and seating, and it makes a fine short visit. Two accessibility notes: the paths are steep enough to be hard work with a walker, and the carpark is small with no accessible bays.
